Read the Fine Print

As an illustration major - as an artist unhappy with much of her work - I feel like it's my duty to buckle down and start drawing a lot more. I need to treat my artwork the way I treat my work-out regimen. I need to enjoy it, even if it's really hard to get started some days.

What would be better to get started on than a comic? I love reading webcomics, even the shitty ones, and what could possibly give me more drawing opportunities? I have started scripting one out, but it was too serious for me to start on... I need to write something more light-hearted. Hence this came about.

I heart Metal Gear and I heart Resident Evil. I may not be good at their games but I am fascinated by their stories. And since I love drawing Snake and Otacon lately, and I never really drew Leon very well, I thought they would be fun characters to start with. This idea will flesh itself out eventually.

I drew this page months before and it came out terribly, so I redrew it lastnight. I like this page much better, although I don't like Snake's face in the second panel. If you have any helpful comments to assist me in my comic-ing adventures, please contribute!
